Join SCAI’s fundraising events
We’ve got some exciting events coming up in Melbourne and Adelaide in July and August 2024, so grab a friend or two and join us in the organising, we are a friendly bunch, and always open to new ideas!
In addition to helping keep our administration and fundraising expenses to a minimum, volunteers have loads of fun, and importantly, become part of something very rewarding – helping transform lives of vulnerable children!
Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a part of the team!
“I’ve been involved with Sunrise for a decade now, and the fundraisers have a real sense of fun about them – there’s always something different, some quirky detail that makes them magic. Being part of the team that plans and executes an event is challenging, stimulating and entertaining, and while we all work hard, at the end there’s real sense that something truly worthwhile has been achieved. It’s a rare chance to get involved at a truly grassroots level, and to be very connected to a good result.”
– Briony Hume
“Joining the Sunrise Committee was an amazing experience. To know that you have been of benefit to the lives of many children in itself is so rewarding and to work with like minded people was wonderful. I would do it again in a heartbeat!”
– India Wallace
“I have been volunteering for a fair few years now and each time, in various roles, has been such a rewarding experience, knowing you are contributing to something so much bigger than yourself. Supporting Emma and the team do their vital work in Nepal, changing lives of children, what better way to spend time and contribute to those less fortunate than us. The events are always such fun too!”
– Mandy Nield
Make A Difference Today
Thousands of children in Nepal continue to be separated from their families due to trafficking or being enticed away with the promise of a better life and education. Thousands still live in orphanages despite having families, work as child labourer’s or enter into early marriage.
Help us prevent separation and exploitation of vulnerable children and reunite separated children with their families.
